Université Catholique de Louvain

Catholic University of Louvain, UCL

Founded in 1425, Université catholique de Louvain (UCL) is among the oldest European universities [1]. It is a leading higher education and research centre in Europe and Belgium, with over 20000 students and 5000 professors scientists and collaborators. UCL has a long tradition of hosting international students and is strongly involved in international exchange programs.
The Schools of Engineering and Sciences are located in the new city of Louvain la Neuve. Louvain la Neuve is an innovative urban concept where the university is fully integrated in a small size pedestrian-friendly city [2] rather than being located on a separate campus.
The Eurheo program at UCL is supported by Louvain School of Engineering and locally coordinated by the team of Prof. Christian Bailly, who is member of  the Research Institute of Condensed Matter and Nanoscience [3] and is active in the field of polymer based materials  rheology and material science.
