Expertise

The team of Prof. Christian Bailly is part of the Bio and Soft Matter division in the Research Institute of Condensed Matter and Nanoscience [1]. Comprizing 15 researchers and technicians as of December 2010, it is mainly active in the field of rheology of  macromolecular and supramolecular systems as well as structure-properties relationships of structural composites, nanocomposites and engineered organic or hybrid materials. The rheology laboratory is well equipped with five rotational rheometers, some of them equipped with special accessories for e.g. dielectric measurements, UV curing or elongational rheology. A wide range of polymer processing equipment and characterization techniques is also available.
